Facials

We recommend a facial every 4-5 weeks. This allows us to monitor your skin throughout the seasons to help you maintain a healthy and glowing complexion.
Some people see results immediately and your skin should look and feel different right away. If your skin has more advanced, long-term needs such as skin aging, acne or hyper-pigmentation caused by hormonal fluctuation or sun damage, your results may not be immediately visible. However, skin health will continue to improve as you follow the advice of your professional skin therapist and continue your home care regimen.

Hyper-pigmentation can occur after sun exposure, pregnancy or taking birth control pills. Yes, there are many treatments available like peels and microdermabrasion and BBL and HALO laser treatments. Contact us for a consultation to see which the right procedure is for you.

Lashes

For lash extensions, you need to thoroughly remove your eye make-up prior to the service.
It is important to understand the difference between an allergic reaction and an infection. A bad allergic reaction to a glue doesn’t mean the glue is harmful. There are different glues that we carry base on one’s sensitivity. However, allergic reactions are possible. If you experience any burning or discomfort during the procedure, please tell your attendant so we can change the glue being used.

Microblading

The pain depends on the individual, but generally we can say: yes, you will feel a little discomfort and may be a little itchy but not completely painful.
The process is done via a blade which consists of micro-needles. The artist will match the color of the hair with ink and the ink is sliced into the superficial layers of the skin. The artist creates hair like strokes in order to create a fuller, natural brow design.
No, you will look perfectly fine after the session – your brows will be slightly red but nothing crazy.

Days 1 : The eyebrows are approximately 20 to 25% darker and bolder in width than they will be when healed. Your skin is red under the pigment, which causes the color of the pigment to appear darker. There is some swelling, although difficult to actually see due to thickness of the skin in the eyebrow area. This will subside.
Days 2 : Don’t be concerned that your eyebrows initially appear darker and bolder in size than you desire. This is all part of the process. To keep the microbladed skin clean, use a damp cotton round to pat the worked-on area once every hour.
Day 3-7: Eyebrows start to itch and will appear a bit thicker in texture. Exfoliation will cause excess pigment surrounding the eyebrow procedure to flake away and your brows will appear narrower. New skin will heal over the pigmented area and result in softer appearance of your eyebrows.
Start by patting the area clean with a damp cotton round and pat dry, Apply a rice grain amount of ointment with a cotton swab and spread across the treated area. Never over apply as this will suffocate skin and delay healing. The ointment on a wet or damp microbladed area. Repeat this process through days 3-10 in the AM and PM.
Day 7-10: The skin begins to flake and peel from the outside edges first. Color finished flaking off and appears softer and grayer for a few days until color clarifies. Color may seem to disappear during the healing process. Continue using the ointment on the treated area as before.
Day 11-21: Through the final healing stages, color will emerge and refine. Some strokes may fade and come back and some will not. The touch-up will correct and address with the tough skin that did not absorb the pigment well.

The most important thing is to keep your skin dry and clean. This means that you should not jump into a pool within a couple of days after the procedure. We also suggest you not go in for physical activities that cause heavy sweating. Sun exposure or tanning is a big no-no for at least 72 hours. In addition to that you should keep your fingers off your new brows – no touching! We all know that the skin starts to really itch and you want to peel off smaller pieces of dead skin, however you shouldn’t do that! No super-strong anti-aging creams or other anti-aging stuff, a lot of keep-calm attitude, and you should be perfectly fine.
There are some rare types of skin that do not react to microblading well. However, you should consult with a physician during your consideration for microblading. There have been a couple of clients we have turned down because of excessively oily skin, however, this means that the skin must be really remarkably and unusually oily. You should not go for microblading if you have moles close to your brows and also when there are large capillaries or keratosis in your brow area.
The chances that you will discover after the procedure that the brows you got are not at all as you imagined them to be, are really slim. Why? Because during the design phase you’ll get a pretty good idea how your new brows are going to look. In addition to that let’s not forget that we always start with a thorough consultation. We will discuss each and every step, talk about and agree on the brow design and color.

Waxing

The hair should be at least 1/4-inch to 1/2-inch for best results. If you have coarse hair, it should be closer to 1/2-inch for the first few waxes. Once the hair becomes finer, it can be waxed at a shorter length. If your hair is longer, we recommend shaving the area and booking your waxing appointment for two to three weeks later. It may take up to three waxing treatments to achieve smooth skin due to the fact that hair grows in stages and all of your hair is never at the same stage. It is very important to avoid shaving between waxing appointments, as this will interrupt the process and stimulate the hair growth again.
Waxing reduces hair growth when performed every two to four weeks. While shaving crops the hair at the skin’s surface, waxing pulls the hair out at the root so the hair grows back softer, finer and thinner. The more you wax, the less hair grows back.
  • Use of exfoliating products (Alpha-Hydroxy Acid/AHA products, loofahs, scrubs, etc.)
  • Direct sun exposure and tanning beds
  • Creams with fragrance or ingredients that are known to irritate skin
  • Deodorant because it irritates the skin and clogs open follicles
  • Wearing tight clothing, which can result in irritation and inflammation
  • Excessive heat from hot tubs and saunas. Warm showers are okay.
  • Exercise, if it causes chaffing or excessive sweating
  • Touching the freshly waxed area
Alcohol actually tightens pores, making the waxing more painful. We recommend NOT drinking before waxing.
  • Refrain from taking a shower or bath immediately before the treatment. Soaking the hair will soften it, allowing it to break more easily and making waxing less effective.
  • Make sure the hair is the appropriate length for waxing. See the above section on “how long or short should my hair be for waxing?”
  • Make sure that the area(s) to be waxed are clean.
  • There are certain medications and products that should not be taken or used if you plan to have a waxing treatment soon. Topical exfoliants used on the area to be waxed such as Retin-A, Renova, and hydroquinone, oral acne medications such as Accutane, blood-thinning medications and topical/oral cortisone make the skin more sensitive and increase the likelihood of irritation and other complications. Please check with your doctor if you are unsure if you should be waxed while using a medication.
